Discover the tranquility and natural beauty that the Pacific Northwest is famous for! Welcome to this sanctuary,
a little known secret of the Pacific Northwest!

A QUICK TOUR:If you dream of a mild Pacific Northwest with warm winters and cool summers, modest rainfall, spectacular scenery with eagles and whales, try "life in the rain shadow." Only 65-minutes from Metropolitan Seattle via a 15-minute ferry trip and you'll find this "secret place"; a relaxed countryside of friendly neighbors, fir forests and pastures, snow-capped mountains, east and west, wind-swept bluffs, driftwood-covered beaches, pristine air quality, and unpolluted water.

Travel North up SR-20 to towns like: Clinton, Langley, Freeland, Greenbank, Coupeville, and Oak Harbor. First, experience the quaint seaside town of Langley, the site of the Island County Fair in August. Continuing North, visit Freeland, at the southern end of Holmes Harbor. Drive up the west side along Smuggler's Cove Road past several beach communities and the Fir Forest of South Whidbey State Park. Near there, the Lagoon Point community has some of the best steelhead fishing in the world. Then, visit the historic Greenbank Farm Winery, with a tasting room and unique gift shop. Continuing on will bring you to Fort Casey,a true example of a late 19th-century coastal naval fortress. Casey is a must see for beach walkers, and is next to the ferry landing for Port Townsend (and the Olympic Peninsula). There are many spots for picnicing. Also, see the Admiralty Lighthouse(1880s) with fantastic views of the Straits of San de Fuca. Walk along the Ebey Landing National Historic Preserve beach park. Continue north, visit Coupeville's 1850s waterfront district. Travel along Penn Cove, world famous for Penn Cove mussels. Drive along the windswept coast with spectacular views of the Olympics on your left and the Cascades on your right. Along SR-20 see the Naval Air Station located in the Oak Harbor. Go another 9 miles to Deception Pass and then on to Fidalgo Bay.
